Scary

A little more than a year ago, I wrote about a fascinating animated presentation of the key events in the U.S. Civil War as well as the horrific death toll. Now, Slate.com has created a similar animated map but instead of the Civil War, the focus is on job loss on a month-by-month and county-by-county basis nationwide starting in January 2007 and continuing through October 2009. It's eye-opening to say the least.
